According to a release from the Lebanon Police Department, officers arrived and made contact with 26-year-old Allen Fuller of Lebanon in the motel’s parking lot. Police said Fuller was taken into custody without incident.

LPD said witnesses at the scene and Fuller himself identified Fuller as the person responsible for the stabbing.

The victim, identified by police only as a 30-year-old Lebanon man, suffered a stab wound and was transported from the scene by emergency medical services for treatment. Police said Sunday that the victim is in stable condition.

Fuller was taken to the Lebanon Police Department, where he was interviewed by investigators. He was later booked into the Laclede County Jail pending formal charges.

The investigation remains active. Detectives are continuing to gather evidence and speak with witnesses, and police said additional individuals could be identified for potential charges as the investigation continues.

Lebanon Police Chief Jerry Harrison said there is no further danger to the community associated with what police described as an isolated incident.

Anyone with additional information is encouraged to contact the Lebanon Police Department at (417) 532-3131 or submit a tip through the department’s online tip system.

Editor’s note: Fuller has been arrested but, as of the police department’s October 5 release, formal charges were pending. An arrest or accusation is not evidence of guilt, and all defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
